The lowest number listed is the number of the printing. So since your pattern, @4dfamily98, has a 1 that means it’s the first printing.

@4dfamily98, I think that yours must be the first printing. The lowest number is one… In my printing copy the number series doesn’t have the first 1 you have, and I have assumed mine is the second printing. I´m sure @todd will tell you whether I’m right or not.

Hi
I read through the link for the errata for these shorts. When it says look for the number in the box at the bottom. In my series of numbers that go from left to right it reads 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2
Does the 2 at the very right mean printing 2? Thanks so much for clarifying. I am attempting to size up so want to make double sure I have the…[Read more] -

I’m going to sew a couple of sketchbook shorts as school uniform for one of my kids. I will probably shorten it for the summer uniform and I would love to lenghten it for the winter version. Will proportions be nice just lenghtening the shorts? Which will be the best point to make the lenghtening?
I also want to make the shirt, upcycling old…[Read more] -

Hello lovely people!
So I emailed the customer support at Brother and they were so amazing with me! They actually sent me a new serger! Talk about awesome customer service!
They didn’t figure out what was wrong with my machine, but after comparing both of them side by side, it looks like my cutter was broken! And then I found a small piece of…[Read more]

@suzanka, did you finally solve the problem?
After cleaning the lint, rethreading the whole thing several times, changing needles… I took it to the service center. They have fixed the problem They have told me that it was a problem with the differential feed. They have adjusted it and now it seems to work correctly. They have told me that this…[Read more] -
Enbee replied to the topic Shorten Cargo pants by 1 1/2" in the forum oliver + s: field trip 8 years ago
I’ve done this in the smaller sizes. Someone on here advised me that it would probably be better to take some of the length off of each piece. What I ended up doing was to trace each piece with the width of the size I wanted, but the length of one size down. That worked out pretty well.

I am making size 12-18 M . I Need to shorten the pants by 1 1/2″.
Would it be best to just take up a bigger hem. Or would it be better to shorten bottom front and back pieces somewhere in the middle, making them shorter to begin with? Does it matter?
Thanks -

@nancyh, that makes sense! Thanks!
Finished the pants – no problems with construction, and the pockets are just what I wanted: -

Hi Enbee, the term that I’ve seen and heard used for the pockets you’ve described are “in seam” or “on seam” pockets.

Is it possible to get a refund or credit for a digital Oliver+S pattern that I ordered today, not realizing that I had already ordered the very same pattern on 3/2717?
Thanks

I haven’t finished pant construction yet (I still have to attach the waistband), but so far, splitting the pants piece at the notch on the waist edge seems to have worked, and the Art Museum pockets went in with only a little futzing.
