I haven’t sewn much of anything all summer so I decided to ease into it with a simple project of a Field Trip tee for Picture Day on Monday. I finished a pair of Named Alexandrina Peg trousers, for Zara, in velvet backed apparel vinyl. It stretched, it slipped but the finished garment has produced far more joy then is decent for an item of clothing.

I went with my normal L&C size, too. I found it just right. I am a D and skipped the FBA, first by accident, but it worked out well so I didn’t bother with it the other times, either. I suggest a muslin, also.

Exciting! Which will release first, O+S or L+C?

We’re waiting from confirmation from the printer yet about when everything will be ready, but we’re tentatively planning on the second week in September. We’re at that point in the process where it’s mostly up to how fast the trucks can move back and forth across the country.

I have to lengthen the sleeves on this one, but my kids are tall for their age. When I made my son one without, it ended up being more of a 3/4 sleeve.

I haven’t made an all knit one yet, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Just be careful that the collar and placket don’t stretch too much and distort.
