Yes, I think @justsewit might be right. It’s difficult to tell from the photos, but you might want to try a swayback adjustment. Or maybe you just need to take in the hips more? It sort of looks like if you pin the hips, especially at the back, to be a little tighter you’ll eliminate the drag lines. It definitely doesn’t need to be looser–overall…[Read more]

There could be a a couple things here.
The name and the @ tag are not always the same. If I would try to send a message to @Tamara it wouldn’t get through to you because that’s your display name. I would need to address it to @justsewit because that’s your username. Could that be it?
The second thing it could be is something new–so it wouldn’t…[Read more]

@todd could you please help? I am trying to send a message privately in reply to one sent to me but it won’t send! I have been making attempts to do this for the past five months! I have successfully replied to other messages sent to me.
So I am wondering, is it length? Or something else?
Thanks in advancd

@thesimpson5 I am pretty new to this fitting business but I find if my seams are on the outside they are easier to adjust.

I finished my jeans. I had a few issues with the back yoke fit but I have that sorted now (I think), and have cut a second pair.

Tamara started the topic Question about sending private messages in the forum about the forums 9 years ago
I was just wondering why some messages send and some don’t. I have been attempting to reply to a message for the past five months and well it won’t send! (@robin I haven’t forgotten!) is it because it has a character length? I don’t see anything that states it.
It is a little frustrating. Any advice?

@thesimpson5 I am very sure Liesl and some other ladies will chime in here. I had a good look at the photos and from what I can see is there are wirnkles that are not “it’s too tight” wrinkles but “there’s too much fabric” wrinkles on the skirt part of the back dress. They are pointing away but look baggy which says to me you need to take it up…[Read more]

Tamara replied to the topic French seams for the side seam? in the forum oliver + s: class picnic 9 years ago
Hi Jennifer I can confirm that French seams can be done on the side seams as I have done them myself. I did a 1/4 inch wrong sides together then trimmed to 1/8inch, pressed the seam and turned the whole side through to the inside pinned and stitched again using a 1/4 inch seam. The fact that the arm and body are intact should not make a difference…[Read more]
