Not a pattern as such, but you know it could be done with the LTTS mittens.
I’m imagining a glove a bit like a golf or cycling glove with the keyhole shaped cut out on the back of the hand.
Instead of doing an elastic casing as per the pattern you could make the wrist part of the mitten a bit shorter.
Then chop out a curve from the back of the…[Read more] -

It sounds like some good has come from this difficult time re the MIL. I am happy to hear it and perhaps there will be less stress for you.
Here we are on day 4 of school cancellations, government cancellations, court cancellations. While our half of the region got almost no snow, the teachers live scattered across the region and are still in…[Read more]

Thanks, Inder! I’m always looking for a reason to buy another pattern π Of course as of yesterday E has decided she prefers skirts and dresses, so apparently my pants-sewing project is on hold anyway.

@mkhs – We discussed a similar option, but felt like the under shirt needed to be more fitted, plus that would involve 2 pieces { we are slow and somewhat lazy if there is a quicker way – ha! π } @Nicole you make it sound so simple! We plan to give it a try while crossing our fingers. . .and toes. . .and legs! THANK YOU both for your help!

It’s very frustrating! I don’t think spotlight in Australia has any of the non Mcalls patterns π And I can’t seem to find a download version either. Back to the ideas board.

Hope you don’t end up in hospital, especially with it being so far away!

Oh Tamara! That is an amazing blessing! I had been wondering how it would go with new wife and the farm. So glad that the worry over the house is gone π

It would also be very easy to slim down the Art Museum trousers based on a pair of pants that fits well. The Field Trip and Sandbox patterns have wide legs.

Maybe consider buying the small range of the After School pattern, since it is actually a fantastic pants pattern for little boys too? π

Inder replied to the topic Fleece or fleece lined leggings? in the forum oliver + s: playtime 11 years ago
I like this idea. I was considering Nature Walk pants for Maggie in pink sweatshirt fleece – poly fleece would be even warmer! I think the big thing for leggings is that the fabric needs to be pretty stretchy and have good recovery (snap back) – otherwise you’ll either have difficulty getting them on and moving, or you’ll have baggy knees and butt.

Slightly off topic, but you all seem very knowledgeable on this topic :). What would be your recommendations for making the playtime dress (woven version) in a smaller size than offered? Ultimately we would like to achieve a look similar to the bubble dress (which goes down to a 0-3M, I believe), but need long sleeves, if that helps any.…[Read more]

As long as your fabric has enough stretch it should be fine. Mood had a really interesting fleece the other day that looked like ponte on the face but had that nice soft fleece on the back of it. Something like that would be great, provided it stretches enough. Especially the leg openings, to get over feet.
