To say we are excited about this project would be a MAJOR understatement!! Our oldest niece has just entered the size 4…and we are already discussing those sweet patterns that don’t go past a 5. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ladies for “stretching” the pattern usage a little further for us. We will definitely be following along, and saving for later!

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 11 years agoOh my….that’s lovely {had to look it up online}!! I can completely see why you’ve been itching to make the Mignonette. We hope to make our youngest niece a dress from AS&E for Easter as well. It is Twinkle Toes from AS&E issue 58. Time will tell if we get it done :).

I’ll let Brittney speak for herself, but yes, I think we’re all close to ready. I’ll trace off the Tea Party so I’m ready to go. How are your schedules looking, gals?

Yes, I made one adding a zip to the V. I also turned the facing to the right side. https://www.flickr.com/photos/73669617@N07/12869902534/

I am late in joining this discussion, but whenever you’d like to get this started on the blog, let me know. Let’s plan with Brittney starting with the Puppet Show Shorts. Does that sound good?

Fiber Club! 11 years agoDon’t be ashamed! That show has some really good writing. It never really ‘grabbed’ me but I could appreciate the workmanship that went into. I like pretty much everything on your list, so I’ll have to check out the few I don’t watch already. Have you seen Top of the Lake? I don’t think I could knit through it, it’s too wrenching, but if you can…[Read more]

Cooking and Baking 11 years agoA bean soup with with wilted kale/spinach stirred in at the end should hit the spot — I don’t like chard but love kale, but you could use whichever green your daughter likes best:

Cooking and Baking 11 years agoLinda, another little one for you to sew for! In both my pregnancies I had low iron during and after birth. I loved sweet potato mashed with ginger and then fried up with steamed broccoli and wilted spinach and steak with soy sauce with a half of guinness on the side. Yumyumyum. Also chilli tofu with noodles, I *think tofu has plenty of iron in it…[Read more]
