Ellen, I agree with Nicole. I usually let things slide, and it’s fine while it’s just me — but that garment has a life after your kid’s use of it. I find I am too embarrassed to give away some outgrown clothes because of those moments that I didn’t go back and unpick. Ellen, I agree with Nicole. I usually let things slide, and it’s fine while it’s just me — but that garment has a life after your kid’s use of it. My current staple is the after school pants , for my slim 5 yr old son, but I may well think of making him a pair of pants using the Sketchbook pattern, which I also own. So this is being faved by me for that point in my future sewing . Thank you for posting this!

Thank you very much NCMimi; I made the Playtime that way mainly because I was concerned about Missy tolerating the lowered sleeve seams, especially in a thicker fabric. I did understand what you were saying about littlies getting into the armholes, and occasionally with more fitted tops like the Sailor top, I have lengthened the armholes…[Read more]

They do sell Manchester/homewards online, V, but not fabric. I think you can mail order catalogue fabric though – but only from the current catalogue…

Timely thread – my (paper! Woohoo!) patterns arrived this afternoon and I was just reading the FBA directions on this – step 5 says to end the dart about 1″ from the marked apex, which seemed strange to me – but I guess your issue is why, Sarvi
