About me |
I started sewing when I was 10, and made the majority of my own clothes into my 30’s. During my late teens and 20s I also made a (meager) living doing dressmaking and alterations. Then I didn’t sew for about 30 years. I gave away my sewing machine in December 2019 and almost immediately regretted it. Starting with masks, sewing and playing with vintage machines became my pandemic hobbies. I sew now for myself and my family. I have worked at one time or another as a seamstress (that old word!), a telephone operator, a research professor in linguistics, a tech writer, an instructional developer, a website builder, and a yoga teacher.
