So many good suggestions! As a teacher, the idea of autumn brings mixed emotions…some good and some not. Sticking with classic childhood memories these are some of my autumn inspirations:

    recess bells

    hitting the books

front of the bus (school bus)

    lunch boxes

    whirling maple keys

    skipping double-dutch

    jumpsies or jumpsie rope

    candied apples

Liesl, you really do have a very different and special business approach. Thank-you for including your customers in your creative process. Your products are wonderful, but it is your down to earth, neighbourly approach that really won me over.

    Cheers

Your welcome! So glad it arrived for you. It IS absolutely lovely. I especially like the explorer vest and the lunchbox, although everything is very tempting. Cheers!

The small requires 4.5 yards of 3/8″ wide homemade bias binding or 2 packages of 1/4″ wide double-folded ready-made. Happy sewing!

I finally have a copy in my hot little hands!! My husband surprised me with it yesterday. I had been checking our local Chapters every other day all week long with no luck, but he goes once and voila they have a single copy!! So they are offically available in Canada.

Thank-you to the ladies who suggested the hairdryer on the glue holding the patterns, worked like a charm. I was even able to safely get the extra glue off of the endpapers with no damage at all. I suppose it is only fitting that the first project should be a messenger bag for my husband:)

You might want to try looking on Etsy. There are several label vendors and all are custom/handmade. I purchased the ones I use from LillaLotta and just love them. Hope this helps.

P.S. I’ve been following the forum and flickr group for some time but never commented before. I just love the support/encouragement provided here. I am gathering up the courage to sew my first garment and have been inspired by many of the beautiful pieces this group has created.
