Ah yes, that’s right! I feel 11% shorter already …

Have you already made the apple-picking dress? The opening of the button placket is off-center, so the back of the collar would be asymmetrical — just something to bear in mind (I have a very pretty blouse with an asymmetrical collar, it can look very nice). I made one, for my son, using oilskin/dryzabone fabric. I couldn’t iron the seams so I used a tongue depresser and a bit of brute strength to ‘press’ the seams open.

My little ones have enormous heads as babies (they almost need staking, like dahlias) I tend to do a head tug check before finishing off.

I’m afraid I haven’t made the size 2, but the size 4 fit my 5 year old really nicely. I had a peek and didn’t see any other size 2s in the pool. Might be good to note to measure the recipient’s head circ. in case a smaller or larger neck opening is needed.
