Is it important to you to make what you wear? Or are you open to buying something?
My plans have changed a bit as I realize now that I will be taking a train from Penn Station earlyish in the morning, arriving back there lateish in the evening, and won’t have a chance to change in between. Luckily, this friend is as unfussy as they come and I…[Read more]

Hallo Lovelies!
May I ask anyone who has sewn this groovy little number, how it fits?
I want to make one for Tildy (6) but the bucket hat is too small for her so I am wondering if I should size up to the large (7-10 years).Thank you in anticipation.

After making Tildy some dungarees I would like to bump @Helena’s suggestion of a dungarees/overalls/romper/playsuit pattern.

@DarcyStruble there was some discussion of how it could be done starting on this thread page: http://oliverands.com/community/forums/topic/your-wish-list/page/22
I fully intend to give this a go. I haven’t done it before but I think I’ve got my head around how it should work. I can do it for my next Oliver + S blog post. But that could mean about…[Read more] -

That’s a great idea @withloveHeidi and they will be great for afterwards when all is healed as sport track pants that she can put on without yet having to take shoes off. The pattern should be perfect.
I should make some waterproof over pants for my son’s ride to school in winter. Good thinking Heidi (again) -

I don’t think I see anything wrong, either. Could you rephrase “the top inner corners right sides and mine are sewed” — I’m afraid I don’t understand that part.

I am so sorry, I can’t see the problem.

Nicole replied to the topic Late Lunch Tunic – short sleeves? in the forum liesl + co: late lunch tunic 10 years ago
I think your fabric choice is the key to that decision.
Both sew up beautifully in a draping fabric (wool, silk) but I think the Late Lunch is a bee’s whisker more flattering in a firmer woven (linen, chambray)I wonder if the collar doesn’t look a bit snappier in a woven too.
Just my opinion, of course.

Thanks so much for your help, Nicole! I am still floundering between the Late Lunch Tunic and the Cappuccino Tunic (ugh, decisions, decisions). . .THANK YOU!

Sew Alongs 10 years agoThat’s a great idea, Brittney! That way you get the reminder that it’s been updated but it all stays in one place. Thanks for the suggestion. And I hope the flatlock works out! I think it’s nice to have that seam stitched down somehow, and the straight stitch works but the flatlock is fancier!
