I sewed a lot in college, even maintaining a second job at a fabric store just for the discounts, but gradually that tapered off into a long, sad series of unfinished projects. I got restarted in late 2009 after my daughter was born & I found out Todd and Liesl, whom I’d known in college, had a little business called Oliver & S. Now I’m trying (with Liesl’s help) to get back into sewing for myself as well. And I’m the lucky duck who occasionally gets to hang out with them in their Brooklyn studio.
