Wooooooo hooooooo, that’s really exciting news!

I now have ideas for outfits for both girls, though I doubt I’ll have enough time for both and for birthday outfits. If I do manage both monochrome looks i’m going to have to buy a small amount of black fabric. I’ll also have to use fabric destined for a wearable muslin for a city stroll skirt for me. Mmmm, not sure if i’m that nice.

@needlewoman I have been quilting a couple of cushion covers, the hand sewing makes a really nice change to sitting at the machine, and I can do it in front of the TV!

I’m in, though I have no idea what i’m going to sew yet! I’ve given myself the extra rule that I have to use fabric i’ve already got.

I would really like a long sleeved dress that doesn’t feel too practical! I know there are several three quarter length sleeve dress patterns, and I could lengthen them, but I would really enjoy another long sleeved dress. I have just about finished a blue linen every day skirt. I used the elastic for something else and only have enough for one row, so just need to get a bit more to finish the second row. I’m not entirely convinced it’s ‘me’, I need some time to myself in front of a mirror to try styling it etc.

Maggie, I’m sorry to hear that. Nuts that they took the flannel as well as the more ‘normal’ items to steal. I hope you feel OK about it and it hasn’t been too traumatic.

8 Weeks and 4 update queries/complaints later it’s finally acknowledged that my fairly sizable Mood fabrics order is ‘lost in transit’. The previous order they sent me $90 of neoprene that was someone else’s order. Not very impressed and mostly frustrated that the boucle…[Read more]
