I will be interested to see how the two marry up. I have always thought the teaparty playsuit would be quite easy to lengthen. Its just a matter of working it all out!

So glad the Liesl and co patterns are ready for us now. It means I can go ahead and order them and the paper Oliver and s ones.

  • @DarcyStruble there was some discussion of how it could be done starting on this thread page: http://oliverands.com/community/forums/topic/your-wish-list/page/22
I fully intend to give this a go. I haven’t done it before but I think I’ve got my head around how it should work. I can do it for my next Oliver + S blog post. But that could mean about…[Read more]

Rummaging through a box of ufo’s i had set aside for when time availed (when noah was a wee babe), I found a few things that I could use now. A very large looking romper that had been cut out in flannelette featuring sheep, along with an almost completed embroidered collar to match and some fabric earmarked for a little square yoke along with a…[Read more]

  • That’s a great idea @withloveHeidi and they will be great for afterwards when all is healed as sport track pants that she can put on without yet having to take shoes off. The pattern should be perfect.
I should make some waterproof over pants for my son’s ride to school in winter. Good thinking Heidi (again)

Oh Jenny! Ok, I will fill you in on something happy because I absolutely know where you are right now, having had this kind of a year last year.

Two weekends ago, we in Australia commemorated Anzac Day. It was in fact the centenary year. There were something like 90000 people rocking up to the dawn service at Kings park Perth! And then later that…[Read more]

  • Masha Richart replied to the topic Buying a bolt of fabric in the forum off topic 10 years ago

I think a lot of places will ship fabric on the bolt if you order the right quantity. I don’t know about Fabric Mart, however, they do have some chambrays in stock now, one in large quantity, and they’ve got a pyramid sale going so you can get a good discount: http://www.fabricmartfabrics.com/Chambray/

Sarvi I think Donna may mean the inner most corners, aka the seam allowances.

Donna, i have just been going through the instructions (one handed I’m afraid as I have a baby with a cold that insists on being held). Gathering the info of what your dilemma is and comparing the photos (Thanks so much Brittney for helping upload these) to the pictures…[Read more]

I wonder why you keep getting locked out Nicole? Yes this was my thought re the sleeve. Ok now we have had confirmation its a go!

  • Sarvi replied to the topic Step 6 in the forum oliver + s: music box 10 years ago

I don’t think I see anything wrong, either. Could you rephrase “the top inner corners right sides and mine are sewed” — I’m afraid I don’t understand that part.

  • Nicole replied to the topic Step 6 in the forum oliver + s: music box 10 years ago

I am so sorry, I can’t see the problem.
Does the underarm side seam match up?
