Oh a funeral I am sorry.

We may be attending the furry baby’s own funeral soon. (Not really but, you all will understand and weep with me….)

So the jumprope dress I just completed. The one she’s only worn once. Yeah, this one…

    University v college??

I think Americans go to “college” generally, even if it is a university, and Ukers go to uni because colleges are inside of universities, right? Like King’s College at Cambridge Uni.

Here in the US, colleges are smaller and will grant an advanced degree (M.A./M.S./M.B.A.) but not a terminal one. Universities are larger…[Read more]

So I showed Ms. Sassy Pants the Afterschool pants I am working on. The fabric is a charcoal grey babywale embroidered with purple Cinderella style pumpkin carriages. I am top stitching the side panel with a “star” or “snowflake” stitch for fun. I show her the progress, and what does she say,

“hmmm, Mommy, I would really like hearts instead.…[Read more]

I love little’uns and their thinking. It is like a peek into a beautiful mind untempered by “right” thinking.

  • I want to share this cute story. My daughter ( in pre-k) was asking my mother how to spell “egg”.

Gigi: how do you spell egg?
    GM: E. G. G.
Gigi: not my name, Bama, egg?
    GM: I know. E. G. G.
Gigi sighs and in a frustrated voice says: Bama, not. My. Name.

GM: let me see how you spelled it?

Gigi: egigi, just like you said. E. G. G.

    🙂

Kahawa, the Afterschool are a dream. I am making my 5th pair for my daughter. The other day my hubby looked at our 5 yo daughter in RTW pants and said he was so dissatisfied with how they fit. He asked me to make her several pairs of pants.

She was always tugging them up. I like the fact that you can color block the side panels, add…[Read more]
