This pattern is great to use up smaller pieces of fabric.

I believe Liesl said this in her blog about how this pattern is great for using your special fabric in the yolk. I cut this pattern out yesterday, in a size 3, and was pleased to be able to cut the pieces for the yolk and armhole binding from 13″ of fabric, the front and back of the top (with 2″” added for length) from 16″ and the skort from 29″ of fabric. All of the fabric was cotton and 44″, was washed, dryed and ironed prior to cutting. I did not follow the exact pattern placement layout provided in the pattern. My fabric was without-nap so I could turn a pattern piece upside down if I had to. I will be able to make more outfits from this pattern with some coordinating pieces of City Weekend fabric.
