school days coat – do I use velcro

    Just had a question about whether or not I should use velcro in the school days coat. I am doing toggle closures and I am at the step in the pattern about velcro which says optional. I always struggles when patterns say optional because I am not sure if it is recommended or not. Will the toggles be enough? I am not that crazy about velcro on my daughter’s clothes . Items I knit always get stuck to the velcro.

    When I made raincoats using the School Days pattern, I didn’t add any velcro and they stay closed just fine with only the toggles. I meant to go back and add sew on snaps but I never did.;)

    Cindy has made the most beautiful coats, I would agree with her.

    Velcro can be a pain.
