I thought of something else … do you guys have sports days at school?
Sports day skorts
Carnival or at the Fair
Cartwheels!!!
Bookworm skorts – just for something a little unusual.
Lighthouse would be a good one for the dress.

For the raincoat: Count me in as another vote for “Puddle Jumping.” When it rains here in Seattle, we actually dress up E in a raincoat and boots and go outside to jump in puddles – she sees that it’s raining and asks if she can go puddle jumping!
For the top/skort:
Monkey Bars
School House
Playground
Run Around
Board Game
Summer Vacation
For the dress:
Boardwalk
Sandcastle
Spyglass
First Mate
Ship Shape

Boardwalk! THAT’S the word I was trying to think of (think beaches/ Bette Midler – now I’m really showing my age!!!)
Sarvi that’s very clever!! Singin’ in the rain – coat! Love it!
Sandcastle dress sounds grand. That or Boardwalk.
What about Treehouse or Playhouse skorts? Just thought of that. We call them cubby houses but we understand the different terms mean the same.
Or Hide and seek? bit of a play on words there – hiding the shorts part of the skorts – though not seeking anything!!

Puddle Jumping….if anyone else’s child watches Peppa Pig, their favorite thing to do is “jump in muddy puddles”…..a Puddle Jumping anything would be great!

A skirt! How exciting! The name must be something about monkey bars and being able to hang upside down. That’s what they ere for when I was little. I second the boardwalk idea for the nautical dress.
Justsewit, we don’t have sports day in the US. Gym class is a regular part of the curriculum and schools have their own sports teams for regular games. My husband had sports day growing up in the UK, but we don’t do it like that.
14 years ago LINKI knew you’d be full of great ideas! I’m adding these to my list that I’ll be drawing from for the next seasons, too, so even the ideas that we didn’t use this time may be used down the road. Thanks for all your suggestions. You’re full of creativity!
