Hi I am looking for some recommendations. I want to buy fabric for making clothes and although I know of lots of places to get 100% cotton I have drawn a blank at other fabric choices. Any help would be great.

Fabric.com has an ‘Apparel’ section that is nice to look through for ideas. I enjoy http://www.Bessiemary.com as well as Gorgeousfabrics.com for the nicer quality textiles.

One of my favorites is http://www.farmhousefabrics.com/ They have a wide array of fabrics and a fun ‘garment to go’ section with preselected coordinating fabrics, trims, and findings.

Thanks for your suggestions. Is there any shops in the UK worth a look?

I do not know about the UK, however I love Hawthornethreads.com , they have a great sale section and their p&h is reasonable

This shop was just mentioned in one of the flickr pictures as a lovely UK fabric place: http://www.raystitch.co.uk/
