Have lining extend past skirt?

    I want the lining of my daughter’s skirt to peek out at the bottom. I just make the piece longer, right? Sorry if that is embarrassingly obvious

    I JUST finished a skirt like this, out of babycord and lined with a matching voile and saddlestitching on the hem. Maybe we’re looking at the same clothing line for inspiration? I used the 2+2 skirt, but took a couple of inches off the width and changed the pleats to gathers. You can definately do it by cutting the lining an inch or so longer. another option (which I did) is to do a wide hem on the outerskirt and a smaller hem on the lining so it extends past. I can’t wait to see what you make! I will post mine as soon as I get some good picture light.
