Thank you for the encouragement, I think I just need to get my machine out and start something. Most of my beautiful fabric collection is out ready to be packed to move house. I’m also going to start something hand sewing based that I can do while the TV is on if necessary! Maybe it will be ready for Christmas at my current rate…

Baby due in September, I think I’m 24 weeks now. I’ll get to do a lot of sewing at my mum’s house when we stay there in a couple of weeks while the house we’re moving into gets made safe!

Actually, maybe a really simple patchwork cushion for the new house might be the thing…

No wonder you don’t feel like sewing, you are packing!

Plan now, sew at your mums.

And we are Baby Due date buddies!

Sewing Machine packed away, packing a house for a move and pregnant! No wonder your sewjo has temporarily disappeared!

I got a boost to my quilting/sewing mojo today, as it happens. One of the library staff at the library where I spend a lot of time – told me about an African family from the Congo (now settled in Australia). The parents have 5 kids of their own, have adopted two others, and are hoping that 5 orphaned relatives will be joining them eventually. That’s 12 kids!!! Anyway, Marianne who is a quilter was captured with the idea of making bed quilts for all the kids, and was telling me about this. I have too much fabric, and have offered my stash/colour matching ability to assist. This conversation happened this lunch time, and already my brain is spinning with fabric combos!! All of which is to say that sometimes making something for a friend/friend’s child/raffle can reignite the sewing mojo, and relieve the block – which in my experience usually has something to do with making “serious” decisions. Chuffed that you are expecting, dubhels; forum members are going to have a seriously “cute” melt down when pics of these expected babies arrive.
