Yes, it is pretty amazing and I can’t express how grateful I am for the help! Carol is sending me the altered pieces so all I have to do is sew it up. I hope I can do justice to all the work she’s put into this for me. No pressure, right 😉 I will post pictures when we get all the girls together in August.

Oh, and I think taking a fitting class would be a good thing. Thanks for the recommendations, Carol!

This is really one of the most wonderful exchanges I’ve seen in a while. Love this little corner of the sewing world.

Carol, I’m so glad you took those classes aswell. I think it just goes to show that even though we technically know what we are doing, it just doesn’t hurt to learn different methods. I mean who ever heard of a bust curve before Joi termed it? That technique alone has changed the way I see my body shape fitting a pattern AND I don’t have to go buying plus sized patterns like I thought! It’s brilliant! I can feel normal again. Joi has a book coming out in September which I can’t wait to get hold of. I think it will be one of those valuable “go to” resources.

And just by what you described with the muslin, the proof is definitely in the pudding!
