Hi Everyone, I just found a good website that explains how to size up or down a pattern by slash and move (or ‘cut and spread’ in their words). I used a modified version of this on my Explorer vest (only used two lines one vertical and one horizontal). I quite like this way of grading as it takes some of the guesswork out of the curves. The info is from the Threads website, and here’s the link http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4424/quick-reference-for-cut-and-spread-pattern-grading

I am also adding this link to

    http://indietutes.blogspot.com.au/2008/09/resizing-pattern.html

This link shows you how to reduce/enlarge a pattern from a multisized pattern. I used this to make my adult size bucket hat.

Just putting this all in one place, if anyone has any more good websites please put them up as it would be a great reference. Hope it helps someone.
