Oh yes pink and red are the same but try and tell her that! The colours I apparently am allowed to use are, pink, red, blue, purple and green. I would love to add a bit of black, white and grey in there somewhere just to punch it up a bit.

We have a bit of a saying regarding mauve being associated with the inevitable menopause. I have to admit the purple will be very much in moderation.

I was a pink girl who changed to adoring blues of all shades. I have never been a fan of yellow but it is growing on me. I do like bright colours but not fluro ( yes the 80’s) and muted, pale colours are great also. I adore patterns and that is probably why the majority of my stash are patterned fabrics. Adding solids in will help her to coordinate better though and I realise that. I generally go for florals for her and geometrics for him but maybe, to punch it up a bit I could cross over and swap.

I have this lovely pink and white check cotton which I think would be wonderful as a shirt. It will be a step towards not so many florals and more variety in the patterns I use.
