Happy Tuesday! I hope that all of you are keeping warm. As I’m writing this, we are experiencing freezing cold, bone-chilling temperatures here in the Midwest. It’s so cold out there that if you go outside with your camera for a bit, your camera batteries will freeze! I know we have readers from all over the world, so I am sure someone out there is enjoying some warm weather.
No matter where we live on this planet, we come together and form a supportive global online sewing community here on the Oliver + S blog. We share a common interest, you sew wonderful things using our patterns, and we are delighted to have you share your creations here. It’s a pleasure for all of us to see.

Hello Rachel. I am sorry to say that although I have been following you for quite some time, I have never made any of your patterns. As you know, most of my projects have been learn-to-sew aimed for young girls. Now that I am expecting my first grandchild, I have been looking at baby clothes. I recently found out that it is a girl and she already has 3 weddings planned for this summer. I want to make baby girl dresses that look cute like a little girl but be comfortable for an infant. Do you have a suggestion on which patterns would work well for this? Also, I would love to contribute my finished dresses on your blog.
Ana, congratulations on your first grandchild! Well the first obvious choice that jumps into my head for baby sewing would be the Lullaby Layette. But lucky little girl, since she has three weddings to attend this summer and you’re interested in dresses then I would recommend the Bubble Dress. I’ll gather up some links for you and email them to you for more ideas soon.

I’ve done so many but Birthday Party Dress is so sweet. Something about my love of pleats.
The playtime dress and leggings are my favorite. Definitely a staple in my girls’ wardrobe.
