Liesl Gibson replied to the topic Question about the back neck of Geneva Blouse in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 2 years ago
It’s a more open neck, so it will also be more open in the back, yes! Glad to hear that you like it.

I haven’t tried it but it would probably work. Would love to see it if you make it!

How about making the Yanaka in a ponte? Would that be stable enough? Thanks!

I love this top and made it twice! It’s perfect: casual but tidy and stylish. Love the lantern sleeves.
My question is about the back neck: is it designed to sit lower than a regular collared shirt? It feels lower than I’m used to and I just want to be sure I didn’t mess up the pattern when I made my adjustments. Just checking…

Todd Gibson replied to the topic Looking for baby/childrens pattern size chart in the forum sewing with liesl + co and oliver + s 2 years ago
Bonnie, you can find the size chart on the page of the pattern you are interested in. About halfway down the page there is a series of tabs. One says “size chart”. Click on that and you’ll see the size chart for that particular pattern.
Since mention a baby size chart, I think you might be thinking about our Lullaby Layette pattern. You can find…[Read more]

Todd Gibson replied to the topic Pattern instructions conflict with drawing? in the forum liesl + co: cappuccino dress + tunic 2 years ago
Sarah, I looked into this and you are right. That’s a minor error in the instructions that was corrected in the second version of the pattern which was issued many years ago. It looks like you’re working from the first version which contained that error. The current version available (version 3) has the language has you suggestion.

Good morning, I am looking for the baby/children’s pattern size chart. I print them and keep them in a folder when deciding what size pattern to use. It is probably somewhere on the website but I can’t find it.Thanks

View B uses a separate placket piece which is included with the pattern. View A is made using the self-fold method. So you can use either approach with this pattern.

On page 8 of the instructions, it says to “Carefully clip into the neckline at each top corner of the dress-front fabric only (not the side-panel fabric),” but the drawing clearly shows the clip made in the side-panel fabric. I looked at the blogged sew-along and it looks like the drawing is correct. I just wanted to let someone know about that…[Read more]

Hi, Before I buy this pattern I’d like to know if it has a separate sewn-on front placket piece or a self-fold front placket? I want the separate piece and that seems to be hard to find these days. Thanks
