I so excited that I don’t want to do that. I have lengthened and pinned to the fabric.
But I do have another fabric I can use. A new little lisette. I bought it for this pattern. Sigh. Putting the smart before the fun. I will make it with the cheaper fabric.
Thanks for cooler heads prevailing!

Please make a trial run in another fabric.

I made the 12-18mnth width and lengthened at the hem.
She is nearly 4 (sob) and still wearing it.

Hope he had a grand time! Lends a new meaning to “picking rocks”. Was this school related or through another institution?

Just an idea, I haven’t tried…[Read more]

Thankyou! I actually had saw that tutorial, but I am looking to keep the trouser look of the top of the pants with the pleats, and just skinny the leg up for a boys pair of pants. I was thinking I should start from the hip area and just skim some off the outside and maybe the inside. After rereading this, I think that *may* work.

All the Japanese lawn is on special at spotlight from next week, 2nd to 19th Jan 2012. All of it is $8/m if you have a VIP card. I might just have to think about some.

Spotlight Bayswater(VIC) had about 10 rolls at $8 a meter, all marked as overstock, so check the discount table as they are the same patterns as the rolls on the full price shelf!

I did check with my Spotlight on Wed about the Tana lawn, (and thanks for the wonderfully useful description, I’m sure it will come in handy in the future, or at another Spotlight) but no luck; they didn’t even have it in their computer. Yes Meleliza, Spotlight’s not bad; it’s improved radically in the last 18mths or so in all sorts of ways altho…[Read more]

Sorry to hear it is still having problems. I am assuming you have looked at the dials to make sure they are in check. It sounds like you need backup!
Tamara (so sleepy I was going to sign in your name hehehe) -
