Here’s a photo. Is that a negligible difference?

Bumping this one as I am having the same trouble, I can’t find the numbers anywhere on the 2t-5 sheet. Does anyone know where they are?

I will be making a Christmas stocking for Olivia this year – it didn’t hit me until November that this was her first Christmas, and by that point I just didn’t have the time to sew her one. Fortunately I had a spare stocking we could use and will make her one for her 2nd Christmas π (I’m the “stocking lady” in my family – starting in high…[Read more]

Kim started the topic Hand sewing needles in the forum off topic 10 years ago
I noticed after I opened a package of hand sewing needles, that I purchased at Joann’s, they are covered in something that looks like shiny metal but feels like plastic. I’m trying to find regular hand sewing needles. Can anyone suggest a brand name and where I can find these needles? They said at Joann’s that I can buy a pin cushion that will…[Read more]

That was a great metaphor Sarvi! I am just excited she even mentioned it, I can wait patiently (sort of, haha).

My apologies, maybe a more computer literate person (than me) will be able to help then.

Oh Liesl, please please keep that promise. I have always wanted to tackle a blazer. Just with your instructions.

I used to knit all the time. It was nice for the boys when they were little as sewing boy stuff is just less fun. I made them some really beautiful sweaters back in the day. However, now, they grow too fast and need way too much yarn. A sweater for oldest son would need 800 yards and take me a year. Bleh. I also grew frustrated with how difficult…[Read more]

I bet there are a lot of existing projects on the tracks already, so I’ve found myself a nice comfy seat on the Blazer Train, now there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, to keep the metaphor consistent for once in my life.

I have a wedding to go to in June and two boys who need blazers. I’m ready and waiting. π
It is very good to know that a pattern will go together without a hitch and that the drafting is reliable. So many things can go wrong with a project that it’s nice to know the pattern itself won’t.

Oh, I understand what to do. But the bold lines weren’t lining up. I’ll post a picture. It might be that it’s a small enough difference not to matter…

This is great. My top four images are of Washi dresses, which are just all around hideous. I guess they’re not inherently that ugly but they looked like potato sacks on me and were donated to Goodwill long ago. My most “favorited” image is a pair of Puppet Show shorts in linen with a big bow on the waistband. I loved those little shorts so much,…[Read more]

Uh oh… Liesl can’t back down now! LOL
I stopped sewing with other patterns. I just can’t hack the missing instructions or the poor finishes. I also prefer the clean lines of O+S.

@motherof5 Thanks for the link to the tutorial π I love having something for reference for new patterns or when I get stuck (which happens a lot).
I have these grand ideas and I’m fearless going into it and then I get ready to start and freeze up and start to panic. It’s a costume, so it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Thanks everyone and I will…[Read more]
