I think I’m a bit new to oliver +s to play this game, but here goes anyway. Most worn are class picnics, and baby number two (5 months) is today wearing these sailboat trousers which got heaps of wear first time round, and will certainly do so again.
Worryingly they are size 12-18 months.…[Read more]

My babies wore lots of these for every day wear…
http://childrenscornerinc.com/wp/shop/babies/254-taylor/And, lots of bloomers and diaper shirt/short dress type things.
For longer dresses, we always had matching bloomers. Once they are down and crawling around you can bunch up the end of the dress and tuck it in the bloomers in the back.…[Read more]

Oh, good question!
Hmmm, let’s see – most worn would have to be Harry’s red Sandbox shorts (4 years – literally worn to death):
Rosie’s original Jump Rope got a lot of wear (2 years) -…[Read more]

Welcome back Becky, I hope the unpacking goes well.
I finished Tildy’s Field Trip outfit. Huge success, my girly girl loves her velvet farm trousers.
Next up a knit Music Class blouse and knit Lunch Box culottes for a sneaky school uniform for Liddy.

I found dresses just bunched up above the waist, it never bothered any of my babies.
Perhaps make one and see how you go. 🙂 -

As I s q u e e z e d Trixie ( 6 mnths) into her Puppet Show tunic (size 0-3 mnth), for the very last time this morning, I reflected on what a lot of wear she has had from it.
It was a good sew. She wore it as a dress as newborn through to a blouse today, with Tea Party boomers.
The teeny…[Read more]

Leggings to protect baby knees! And keep the dresses for those times when she won’t be crawling – ie shopping trips.
I love the very short dresses and bloomers with chubby baby legs – so cute!

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoThere was a quarter piece pie left over and I was looking forward to eat that tonight, but Isabel claimed it so I was stuck with cheesy broccoli quinoa and balsamic glazed chicken which I had had for lunch today and yesterday and there is still a serving left! (I made a huge batch over the weekend.)

Agreed, the skirt is just a big rectangle. Cut it as wide as you like. The fairy tale skirt isn’t even that full. For finer fabrics, I like to cut it even wider. If you have 58″ fabric, just tear one strip all the way across.
Honestly, @sarvi, the French seams in the sleeves aren’t any more fiddly than a 1/2″ seam. Actually, it’s easier to set a…[Read more]

Hi Erin, I started my oliver + s sewing with a 3 month old and started with the school photo dress, which actually was fine when she started crawling as it is quite fitted and she is long so it never caught. It was the same with the hopscotch dress and the seashore sundress, that was fine. The bigger problem I encountered was that she put…[Read more]

The Ice Cream top is lovely for crawling babies. I really didn’t ever do dresses until she was walking.
