probably not the whole table, well not yet 🙂 , at the moment I’m hoping to make the first 20 elements as this is what the year 8 and 9 students need to learn.
I even got to use them yesterday with a student 🙂 -

thanks for the suggestions. The kids are going to be asked to wear dark coloured long sleeve shirts and pants and black shoes so thankfully we don’t have to worry about dressing their bodies or feet.
I think I’ll do a mock up of the fleece hat to see if the director likes it (thanks for the link @jay_1965vw!). I think they would be quick to…[Read more]

I ordered a week or so ago and shipping was not nearly that much:
Subtotal : $111.95 USD (22 yards — I might have gone overboard)
Shipping : $18.90 USD
But I’m on the same coast a state away so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

Heidi, I love the cards. Are you going to do the whole table?

A skirted bottom would be perfect – can definitely see this being a hit!
Yes charming boys patterns that have today’s style with yesterday’s class – sounds like we have them anyway but could do with more perhaps.

Finished the layette bodysuit; thanks for the push Tamara! I think it will be very comfortable for the baby as it is made of double-faced gauze that was a major pain in the patoot to sew. Major. But it’s all done and maybe tomorrow I will finish the pants. Check!

I second the After School as definitely worth a go. The back yoke on those is fabulous for giving sufficiently high back coverage. So much so that I’ve used the back half of those mashed to other pants fronts.
I imagine if you use a yoke, like Nature Walk, you can shape that how you like, then add a straight hemmed skirt underneath. -

Last night, after reading about multi sensory spelling techniques, I decided to make fabric flash cards of elements in the Periodic Table! I made the first 3 alkaline metals, Beryllium (Be), Magnesium (Mg) and Calcium (Ca).
One of the more unusual things I’ve sewn 🙂 These are quite large 6″x4″.
I also liked my husband’s response, “They would…[Read more] -
