That is so frustrating.
I know one way I have ended up with a problem similar to that is when opening the file in preview(Mac pdf viewer) and printing from there I nstead of Adobe Reader (which does work on macs too).
So did you print from Adobe Reader? Adobe is much more reliable and can be downloaded for free on the net.

and I know it isn’t an ink issue especially printing at work.

I printed them at work and came home not really checking them out. Only parts of the lines are printing. I got home and tried here it is doing the same thing.
The pattern on my pdf looks fine.
what on earth is wrong with it?

My little guy was born last summer, so I might feel differently about it if I’d had a winter baby (heck, my guy barely wore clothes at all for his first month!). But I think corduroy might be better for the jacket, with something less bulky to cover those bunchy little newborn legs.
Congratulations to you and to the new parents!

I’m becoming a grandmother in December! I want to sew the pants and jacket from the layette pattern but it’s been so long since I had little ones to dress, I’m not sure about the best weight for each piece. I have some pinwale corduroy that I thought would be perfect for the pants… but now I’m wondering whether that would be better for the…[Read more]

Great, thanks!
I’m a raw beginner with my serger (although I CAN successfully thread it now – woohoo!). I was going to make this particular FT shirt as my first non-washcloth serger project. Think that’s a bad idea, given the mix of fabrics?

If you’re in the States, Etsy does some as well. Large or small quantities: https://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?q=custom+clothing+labels
OR
@enbee There is a US Version of the same site! : http://labelsandribbon.com/ Cool. 🙂

I have sewn the ‘bloomers’ from the Seashore Sundress pattern in size 2T and they are not really like the traditional bloomers at all. They were more of a panty shape.

@liesl I see (two years ago…) you asked if anyone was interested in the larger bloomers pattern. I didn’t see any answers, but I’m virtually raising my hand!! 😀
That in addition to the fact that I would *love* to see an O&S “basics” pattern for under-things for boys/girls, as well. 😀
