I’d be inclined to go with either gold (or brass) or silver for the yardware. Here are a few examples that might help you choose:

If you have to choose between those three colors I’d say black; if she is to wear it with jeans grey might be more youthful?

Is there a particular Lisette fabric you’re looking for? I’m not sure if you’re looking for the ones sold originally at JoAnn Fabric, which I think are out of stock, or the most recent collection, Woodland Clearing, which is not part of the Lisette line (but in my opinion has a nicer feel to it, I have tried both).

I reckon I could find you a hot pink zipper!
Worth an enquiry to these guys http://www.lzf.com.au/ as they have a huge range and will cut to required length etc. I’ve used them for single zips before.
(otherwise, my answer to your question would be black. White would be very 1980s and grey a bit reminiscent of a Galah :))

I’m actually making view A… The pattern days to cut 2 interfacing strips. One for the crotch And I assumed the front snap packet needs the other strip but it doesn’t actually say where or whe attach it.

I made a top for my 3mo niece from the Lullaby Layette pattern! (The shorts are knit cuff from Brindille and Twig)
She has so many clothes they e been given as gifts and hand me downs she doesn’t need more but I take my job of doting auntie very seriously!
I did French seams for the whole top. It’s a light voile so that worked well. I could not…[Read more]

I will be traveling to USA in a couple of weeks, and I would love to buy some Lisette fabric plus some good cotton knits. It’s a business travel and it will be hard to find much time for browsing, so I would really appreciate some help.
