I am a retired high school math/science teacher of 38 years. I learned to sew from one of the best, my mom. Unfortunately she passed when I was 16 and I stopped sewing. Four years ago our first granddaughter was born. It was time to dust off my old Viking. I quickly learned from my sewing groups, I should maybe buy a new machine. I did, a Bernina. I love it, but will never get rid of my Viking! Since we had two boys, I needed to learn to sew for girls. My daughter-in-law requested that I learn to smock. I did! I spend almost every morning sewing or smocking for 2-4 hours. And to toot my horn, my granddaughters garments beautiful. Here is one of several. I am looking forward to trying these patterns. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10160196079978602&set=pb.727468601.-2207520000&type=3
