I just hit the “purchase” button on a Brother 2340cv coverstitch machine!! My siblings (I have four of them) and father were very generous for my birthday last month. I finally got some time to sew on Friday night, so I made up two pairs of Playtime leggings (I think this brings my total to 15 or 16), a quick knit maxi skirt for my 4-year-old and some linen pacifier leashes for the baby. It felt so good to sew!

Thank you ladies. We are fortunate to have very good support – so many people have brought food that we don’t have room in our refrigerator. And I have lots of help with the children. I am trying to balance spending time with them and being at the hospital, as my husband is sad when I leave. My in-laws are here so we are taking shifts.

I feel strange posting about this but as I feel I have gotten to know many of you over the last years, here goes. My husband suffered a stroke yesterday morning.
