Zipper instead

    I really want to make this jacket as a raincoat for my son, but we live in Minnesota and will need a zipper. The toggles won’t keep the wind out.

    The links in this thread are broken, and I couldn’t find the photos in the flickr pool anymore. Does anyone have photos of inserting a zipper in this coat? I think I sort of understand what marjorie is saying she did, but it would be really helpful to see a photo.

    Hi superm 🙂 I put a zipper in my kids’ coats. I wrote out the steps I used in the comments on this photo:

    The next few photos give a fairly good look at the zipper in the finished coat. I hope that helps!
