I’m looking at the Hopscotch pattern and fabric for the top. I will be making this in a size 12 with short sleeves. Can anyone verify that I will need 1 and 1/2 yards of 60in. fabric for this? It just seems like too much fabric. Of course, I don’t have the pattern yet to lay out for myself. I’m planning to order soon, though, and also found a good deal for the pink branch knit (love it!).

I don’t want to buy too little, yet, I really don’t want to overbuy, either (on a budget). Anyone?

I jiggled the pieces and cut mine from a yard but you need to consider shrinkage. I wash knits in cold water and line dry-not tumble dry.

One older top was inadvertently put through on a hot wash and now my seven year old is wearing it!
