Wow ducktape74, looks fantastic. I bet someone was very happy such a lot of work. I have been putting off a bird costume since august and little miss asks every week if its done yet.

That’s amazing work and it looks amazing! There is something fantastic about a full body costume. I hope she loves it and it gets lots of use after Halloween.

I’ve just finished the kid’s costumes. P wanted to be a scary, black ghost. Little sister wanted to be a happy, purple ghost. I made two hooded cloaks by upsizing and altering a Japanese pattern and then added Scream style matching fabric masks. Will Try to get modelled pics…

I love the dragon! I’m trying to get back in the Halloween spirit so I can finish the cat and my witch, but I’m fighting a cold and it’s making me grumpy. I thought I was making my life easier this year by insisting on simple costumes, but maybe I’m missing the satisfaction of a good project.

Given Halloween is tomorrow night and your still sewing I think easy was a great idea! Maybe not quite so satisfying but definitely more doable on time constraints and feeling under the weather! Keep going they will be great!

Yeah, except that I’m not sewing. I’m laying on the couch watching old episodes of Greys anatomy and flipping through the pottery barn catalogue. Shhhh, don’t tell my little Kitty. And Halloween isn’t tomorrow, it’s the day after. And the kids have a half day tomorrow and no school for Halloween, so no homework to worry about or lunches to pack. I think I only need an hour or two to finish. It will work out right? I am so lacking in the Halloween spirit right now.

Ah, wrong part of the world, here it is already the 30th. Wow, they get a day off school as well as a cool costume AND lollies (candy)! No wonder it’s so popular.

You will get there! In a couple of days it will all be over.

I think my mom started and finished all of our costumes the night before. Isn’t that the same in everyone’s house?

… and on our side of the world it’s all done and the littlies are gone to bed.

Ran out of steam while trying to make Paddington’s suitcase, but the rest of his gear is up!

    I LOVE your Paddington. Amazing!

I am hoping you may all be able to help. We have a charity superhero fancy dress day at nursery in a couple of weeks and I have no idea which superhero to go with, or what to make my lovely little 13 month old girl. I have thought about Supergran (not sure if she’s an international superhero so you might not all know her ;-)) but I would very much welcome any ideas for superheros and for costumes based on o+s patterns.
