I am now making the pattern for my boy, and wanted to shorten the pants considerably. Yep, sleep shorts (here in Florida, it actually makes more sense. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Not like Mama didn’t buy enough fabric. No. Perish the thought.)

What would be the best way to do this? And how do I make sure that the bottom hem works, since it”s a little wavy there?

Try measuring the fabric to work out how long they can be,mark that length on the pattern and then measure up from the hem in 1/2 ” increments.

Join the dots and that should give you a re-created ‘wavy’ hem.

    I hope that helps?
