I’m super excited about both of them. Must start cracking my back stash quickly!

Check out the blog for a posting on the tunic and slip dress. I love the look, but I’m a little uncertain about the double layer of fabric on the bodice. Would this be too warm?

Nevertheless, I can see making them separately. The tunic is so cute I can’t stand it. I feel like a kid waiting for my birthday. March 5th seems an eternity!

I love the double layer! I don’t see why it would be too warm unless you plan to make them both in flannel or something. 🙂 I’m imaging how nice it would look for those slightly sheer fabrics.

Love the idea of the sheer fabric, meleliza! I wonder how big the pattern pieces are? I’m imagining a couple of differnt fabrics for the 2 flounces, and the top and dress. might be a good stash buster.

And shorten the dress an you have a nice plain tank to go with everything!

I was thinking with a black dress part and some bold colours down the bottom with different fabrics for the flounces it could look very flamenco!

As a mom of two boys I’m going crazy waiting for the boy patterns!!

I sympathize, it’s hard when you just have boys. That was me for 5 long years. Third time was a charm. 🙂 On the other hand, you could just sew nice things for yourself! That new Lisette Attaché dresses very much like the roller skate dress. – a simple basic that could be made up in a huge variety of fabrics and with a shape that will flatter lots of figures.

    Aw thanks 🙂

Luckily I have a lot of friends with little girls to sew for.

I do love the boy patterns oliver s makes!

Sad at the lack of boy patterns 🙁

I would have loved an overalls pattern that could be made in shorts for spring or long pants. Something a little more for everyday than the tea party playsuit that you could make in a light denim, cord or twill.

Have you tried the field trip cargo pants? They would absolutely be suitable for every day. The sandbox pants are great for kids too, and I think bot of these would be great in light denim or twill. Overalls are adorable and I made some for my boys when they we’re little. I remember it being difficult to find a nice pattern. but once they get to potty training, overalls are about the worst thing they could wear. After that, they can dress themselves and so easy on and off becomes important.

I will have to check that out when they get a bit older. Right now they tend to scream when I dress them in pants other than stretchy leggings so we stick to those and overalls.

Good point about the toilet training, we have probably at least another 6 months if not a year but maybe not long enough for a new pattern 🙂

Oh, comfy stretchy pants are the best thing for babies. Easy to wear, easy to change.
