So sorry you can’t go to NYC, mle bb. I’ve been there once just over 10 yrs ago, and had a wonderful time especially because i found the city so much more negotiable than I expected. Watching the Sandy coverage here in Oz, I feel for the people in lower Manhattan. I have such vivid memories of catching the ferry to Ellis Island, and of the Statue. I enjoyed EI most having seen so many TV programs abt American immigrants.

I can also recommend a shop called City Quilts – wonderful service and material – even if I was asked some very funny questions abt snakes in cities.

I’ll be happy to find the address for you when you another date organised. So glad your money was refunded; at least a storm like this cannot be ignored by bureaucratic hotel persons
