I vote for a tiny 3-piece suit, all hand sewing, with no pattern, just instructions for drafting your own. Haha! I can hear the screams of despair already!

As long as it is a three piece suit that can be worn by stylish boys, and there is welt pockets on the jacket or vest and a REAL zip fly on the pants, I’m in……… make it SEVEN happy ladies!

I would buy a suit or blazer pattern too, but not for baby sizes. I realized oldest son would be making his first communion soon enough and that there simply aren’t any commercial patterns out there for a boys suit. Kwick sew makes a blazer and thats all I could find. I realize boy patterns aren’t typically big sellers and I do understand why, but i think special occasions are exactly when you go looking for boy stuff and are willing to spend money and effort. Boys tend to destroy every day clothes, (and toys, and houses, and their sisters stuff) but costumes and special occasions are good times to gove them your time and attention. At some point, most of us encounter a special occasion. I suppose it would be easier to buy a suit, but often rtw is just plain tacky.

I have been wondering when there will be a four scissors pattern. What a sense of accomplishment that would be!

Burda make several but obviously oliver+s would be far superior.

I can look up the codes if you like?

So many, both vintage and contemporary! Have you tried searching google for something like “boy’s suit sewing pattern”? I confess I didn’t get past the first few results before I got overwhelmed. Super adorable, especially those vintage ones. I imagine collecting vintage patterns could be a whole new rabbit hole to fall down.

You can add me to the four scissor pattern buyer’s list! Surely if we get over ten, then it would be feasible financially?!!

Do I even need to comment?

I feel like I’m in the movie Spinal Tap where the amplifier goes to eleven! Ha!

But hey, I’m up for a 4 scissor pattern. The sewing learning curve never ends and who better to learn from and hone skills.

Count me in for the 3 and 4 scissor patterns. I know it will take a long time to sew and that’s OK. I work on the pattern over days or even a couple weeks and love each step of the process. Maybe a .pdf pattern would work for these?

Honestly, I am at the point where I am collecting the patterns almost as objects, practically irrespective of whether I’m ever really going to make them, like I have more books than I have time to read in my life. Maybe my kid will grow up and want to sew, who knows?

Here here Sarvi. Doesn’t really matter what is released. I will have it and pet it, my precious.
