My son has a bit of an aversion to collars – a ‘proper’ collar tends to irritate him but he is mostly OK with a small raised collar – can anyone think of any reason why a collar like this wouldn’t work on the nature walk jumper? I was thinking of changing it to something along the lines of the alternate collar on the sketchbook shirt. I’ve looked over the directions and I can’t see anything in it that would make it not viable, but I haven’t sewn it yet so it’s hard to tell.

No,not crazy at all. It could look very nice,you may need to adjust the length of the collar base to get it to fit.

I had wondered about making a casing instead of a collar and running cord through it for a beachy look.

Would your son like that?
