Adding a zipper to jump rope?

    Hi

    I have made my little girl a couple of jump rope dresses now. They fit beautifully, but are hard to get on and off. I am wondering whether you think it would be possible to add an invisible zipper along the side seam (from under the arm to the waist seam on view A) to make it easier to get on. Would this work do you think? I’m reluctant to make her a different size as they dresses fit so well when on.

    Great Idea Claire!

    Have a practice run on some cheaper cloth , but it should work well !

    If you have the School Photo dress pattern you have the best instructions to hand.

    I think you would do the placket, then the zip and then follow the pattern but set in the zipper side sleeve.
