take the spring pattern challenge!

Spring is here in earnest for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. While it’s not the spring that any of us imagined, we’re all doing our best to cope with the current realities in the places we find ourselves. There are so many creative folks out there making the best of being stuck at home, and we’d like to help.

With that in mind, we present the Liesl + Co. spring pattern challenge!Take the spring pattern challenge and win two free patterns! From now through the end of the day on May 17, we will run a challenge to sew up one of our new spring patterns. Here is how to enter:

Here’s a brief overview of our new spring patterns, all of which are great pieces to add to your spring and summer wardrobe:

The Kensington Knit Skirt is an easy-to-wear and easy-to-sew knit pencil skirt that also includes a risk-free faux wrap view. With only two pattern pieces and no more than 1 3/4 yards required of 58″ wide knit fabric for View A, this is a quick sew that you may already have the fabric for in your stash. Personally, knit pencil skirts are my favorite thing to wear when the weather is warm and I can’t wait to sew up a few of these.

Check out the Kensington Skirt tag on the blog to see Liesl’s introductory video for the pattern, inspiration for fabric choices and styling, and our tester photos.

The Belgravia Knit Dress cuts a a unique silhouette with a v-shaped neckline, wrap detail and front slit. There are long- and short-sleeved views. This dress definitely fits the definition of “secret pajamas” and can be dressed up or down depending on the fabric you choose. This dress can go to work, out to the farmer’s market, or just hang out at home in quarantine while being comfortable and stylish. The Belgravia Knit Dress tag on the blog is where you will find Liesl’s intro videos for the pattern, inspiration for fabric choices and tester photos to rev up your creative motors.

The Montauk Trousers will keep you comfortable while you are social distancing at home. When you can leave the house again, they will take you to work, out to run errands or on a weekend getaway. These simple, semifitted, pull-on pants include an elastic waist and drawstring closure. The pattern features front pockets as well as options for either patch pockets or single-welt pockets in the back. Take a look at the Montauk Trousers tag on the blog for fabric inspiration, Liesl’s videos introducing the pattern and tester photos.

All three patterns are available in sizes 0-30 and can be purchased in digital format in the Liesl + Co. shop. We hope you’ll join in the spring pattern challenge and can’t wait to see your photos of your makes! Which pattern would you like to sew?
