Project details
Pattern used: Liesl + Co. Terrace Dress. The only change I made to the original pattern was to shorten it by four inches.
Fabric used: Cotton + Steel Rifle Paper Co. Rayon

Did the fabric work well?

Yes! I love sewing with rayon. And even more than that, I love wearing a rayon challis. It feels very luxurious!

How did the sewing go?

This pattern is so easy to sew! The simplicity in the design allows bold prints to become the statement of the dress. There are lots of other prints that I would love to whip up in this pattern. But I also think it holds it’s own with a solid fabric as well! I would love to see it in a drapey white fabric for summer.

What was the best part?

No closures!!!!!! I’m a lazy sewist, so not having to put in a zipper or sew buttonholes was a major bonus! It is also very easy to fit because the design has enough ease to comfortably flow over your body.
