So I see that others are haveing that same issue that I’ve had with the polo collar. First of all, I ADORE this pattern-I’m into it for 4 and love it so, SO much. However, I know that I am not doing this incorrectly and finally decided to do the math. I hope you can all follow along. Boy style, I cut the placket 1/4″ off the center fold. This makes the right side of the shirt front 1/4″ shorter than center and the left side 1/4′ longer than center. The placket is 2 1/2″ wide, you fold under 1/4″ and stitch 1/4″ and when the placket is folded that leaves 1″, since the seam allowance is also 1/4″ that leaves a 3/4″ placket added to the right side of the front-the 1/4″ extra on the left side is decreased by 1/4″ due to the placket that you stitch-this whole placket is turned under resulting in a perfect half front. The right side, however remains 3/4″ too long and must be eased into the right front. In the size I’m making 2T the half front is only about 4″ anyway so that is a LOT of easing. I know I am not crazy and I have measured and re measured and checked and rechecked the pattern. I can see in the initial pictures of this pattern that the same thing was happening. Liesl??
