Nicole I hope it works out. I really logged on to say your Jed is a real gem. My hubby, if asked about the clothes the kids are wearing, would mutter something about patterns online and move as fast as he could in the other direction! It’s great that Jed has so much pride in Your beautiful sewing.

I’ll let Brittney speak for herself, but yes, I think we’re all close to ready. I’ll trace off the Tea Party so I’m ready to go. How are your schedules looking, gals?

Yes, I made one adding a zip to the V. I also turned the facing to the right side. https://www.flickr.com/photos/73669617@N07/12869902534/

I had to make a last minute pencil case for my son! His one from last year has mysteriously disappeared. Good thing I have ample amounts of train fabric and long zips on hand.
Still working on completing the Angel tops and knickers – fingers crossed I get another chance in the sewing room today.

Heirloom Sewing and Embroidery 10 years agoI have this little dress I have been itching to make from Australian Smocking and Embroidery (issue number will come to mind shortly I hope) called Mignonette. It involves smocking, insertion lace and embroidery down the centre of a t shaped panel. Whether I will get to it for Easter or not is one thing as it falls early this year. Thanks for sharing that @Sarvi. I do like those plackets and that is such a cool way to do them. I am looking forward to seeing yours.

I am late in joining this discussion, but whenever you’d like to get this started on the blog, let me know. Let’s plan with Brittney starting with the Puppet Show Shorts. Does that sound good?

Cooking and Baking 10 years agoI’ve been anemic for years (found out it was from wheat or gluten in my case) but cream of wheat cereal is loaded with iron (ironically for me, I was stuffing down cream of wheat which was making it worse!) And blackstrap molasses is good, too – just have her eat a spoonful every day, if she can stand it!
