Hi, all – I’m thinking about picking this pattern up, so I flipped through the Flickr archives to see what it looks like in various sizes and fabrics. What kept jumping out at me was the placement of the front pocket, or maybe the width of the waistband. The pockets look so low! I got an e-mail from Colette as well. It went into the spam folder so I didn’t read it , but I searched for Aster pattern corrections.
There’s an error in the Aster pattern instructions. They’ve posted a fix in their help section.
I put together the world’s fastest Elsa costume Sunday morning. 30 minutes start to finish. It wasn’t my best…[Read more]

Sew Alongs 10 years agoI think cotton jersey is great for polos and T-shirts, and I’m sure it will be fine here. This pattern doesn’t need a ton of stretch, especially with the woven details. So glad you’re joining us!

I have some really stretch stuff, about 8% elastine which I’ve discarded as it feels too stretchy and would be better for leggings. I have some very soft slightly thicker 100% cotton Jersey…[Read more]

Sewing for Yourself 10 years agoHello. It has been YEARS since I’ve posted on here. I am regaining my sewing mojo and I want to make some things for ME. Hooray. My problem is that I prefer skirts and dresses longer . . . midi length. Which patterns could I lengthen to that length. I’ve got a couple of metres of liberty tana lawn and I’m considering downloading the everyday…[Read more]

I have used this template, I printed it out at 180% for my son a few years ago… to do the slider or velcro, I added length to the “stem” parts and finished them instead of sewing them together.
