@nzsewist oh yes I think it would be a perfect holiday project to do! I was just brainstorming ideas of what other projects/ challenges we could do in future😀.

I’m finally finishing the Art Museum Vest, just need some buttons. It is lovely, pinstripe wool with a red slik lining.
I’m off to pick up my new Jalie Bella dress pattern and some wash away interfacing/stay tape to help hem my Appleton Dress.

Hi everyone! I’m out of town at a conference, so apologies for the slow replies. @dubhels2003, I think you mean easestitching? It’s a basting stitch that you can remove after you finish the seam. Apologies if I have missed it, but what is Easestitching (step 6)? Is it sewing a loose large stitch that you can pull to then help ease in? I am probably being an idiot, I just don’t want ot get this wrong!

Cake flour can apparently be made at home – http://joythebaker.com/2009/09/how-to-make-cake-flour/ from the looks of the directions in the link it’s all-purpouse flour mixed with a bit of cornflour/cornstarch.

Are you using fabric from your stash or shopping specifically with this dress in mind Lynda?

Generally what I do when I am figuring out how much fabric is required, is to lay some out (in alot of cases I audition fabric and check to see if I have enough that way) and place the pattern pieces on top to try and fit them.
