beginner sewer im stumped on first step simplicity pattern , embarassing LOL

    pattern no 3949 apron C

    first step says to reinforce the edge of the dart nearest side seam, stitch along broken line and seam line through small dot for about 1 ” on either side of the dot. clip diagonally to stitching at small dot. it shows a pic but no arrows no direction , i dont want to stich then clip and have it be messed up i have never done darts before , this is like my second project

    This is not really the place to ask as it’s not a pattern from this company.
    A quick internet search for your pattern came up with a YouTube video tutorial. I suggest you try that.
