costume round-up

October is a popular month for costume sewing, so we couldn’t leave it without a little costume round-up. To view a larger collection be sure to check out Liesl’s Halloween sewing with Oliver + S Pinterest board.

First up we have Stacy who created a peacock costume using the tutu pattern from the Little Things to Sew book. You can see the modifications she made to the tutu on her blog post here.

Here we have Sheriff Woody from the Toy Story movies that Teri made with a little help from an Art Museum Vest.

Next up, Lee created these cat and witch costumes, using the School Bus T-shirt and Roller Skate Dress.

The Frozen movie phenomenon has taken the world by snowstorm, if the special girl in your life wants to be an ice princess, check out our Elsa dress round-up.

With all of the Elsa dresses out there, we didn’t want her sister, Anna, to get left out in the cold! Here are some Anna dresses to inspire you.

Brittney painted the decoration on the front bodice of this modified Fairy Tale Dress with Library Dress sleeves.

If you need a quick costume how about a Cozy Winter Hood from the Little Things to Sew book? If you have more time you can pair it with some Animal Tail Shorts. The outfit could be made complete with a School Bus T-shirt.

Are you sewing a costume this week to make a child’s dream come true? We’d love it if you’d add any photos of your costumes using Oliver + S patterns to the Flickr group. It’s fun to see what you make.
